Quick fixes for Moms at Dinner

Moms are so rushed to get everything done in the course of their day. Things that can help alleviate the stress moms have when rushed in preparing dinner are listed below.

1. When shopping, buy double the dinner meats that you prepare each week. Cook them and freeze one of the two dishes to be eaten the following week.

2. Cook and season three or four days worth of dinner vegetables at one time. Then separate them into bowls. When dinner time rolls around, all that you will have to do is reheat this quick fix.

3. If your children are old enough, give them chores in helping with dinner time. Designate each a chore such as one sets the table and clears it and the other does the dishes or loads the dish washer. The following week, reverse the chores. It is unbelievable how much this will help moms’ stress and how much more she will enjoy dinner time. Everyone is helping out in doing their own part. Let your children know how much help it is.

4. If your children are older, plan easy meals for each of your children to fix one dinner a week. Be there with them to enjoy the experience together. This will help teach them some cooking skills. At the same time, moms can sit and watch someone else do some of the cooking for a change.

5. Employ your significant other in helping with dinner. Make it a time for moms and their significant other to share and enjoy things they have in common and the togetherness in their busy schedule.
