We understand, mothers; really, we do. Time never seems to be on your side when you’re dealing with kids, laundry, the house, errands, the hubby, yourself, maybe even your own work! How do you have the time to do anything else? Oh, and of course, we’re forgetting the big one: dinner.
Have no fear. Do a search anywhere, and you can find many recipes where you can spend thirty minutes in the kitchen and that’s it. No fuss. Here’s one:
First off, know this: your skillet is your kitchen god. Not one other pan or pot in the world can match the efficiency and speed of a skillet. Try out a Skillet Chicken Mac and Cheese.
All you need is a pound of boneless skinless chicken breast cut into cubes with a teaspoon of olive oil. Pan-fry the chicken with the oil until it’s browned, then add macaroni, chicken broth, some chopped zucchini and onion and a teaspoon dash of dried oregano, and guess what: you have a hardy meal for the whole family. Take it one step further and add a can of Italian stewed tomatoes and a cup of cheddar cheese for that extra zing.
Look and see! Your kids have time to do their homework without it getting too late. They might even be able to jump in the shower. Heck, you might be able to jump in the shower, too. You can’t beat the taste, and better yet–dinner won’t be served late with enough food to feed a family of six!
